Originally, Morgan Grace started with a small core group of partners, targeting industries in which they had experience, investment or simply an interest.
Since we have grown almost exclusively by referral, and help clients explore new opportunities and overcome challenges, we are continually brought into new situations. This requires us to be constantly expanding our diverse partner base to deliver optimal solutions to our clients and to do that as quickly and cleanly as possible.
How we have expanded our partner base is simple and Darwinian. We identify qualified individuals or businesses, based on our clients’ needs. Many times our clients introduce us to parties with whom they are familiar. We then team with our client to vet the potential partners and together we select those who are both qualified and will plug in exactly how, when and where we need them, thereby putting three parties together for the optimal solution.
This transparent approach has helped Morgan Grace work with some of best partners available … most with senior Fortune 500 experience, an entrepreneurial pedigree, who have held P&L responsibility … not freshly minted MBA’s. These people have sat in our clients’ seats, creatively solved problems, and developed and executed practical and successful plans. They are people who stay involved with our clients throughout our partnership, ensuring their results not only exceed expectations, but also are sustainable.
Consequently, today we have a deep bench of specialized associates who participate with us on selected projects, all of whom are individuals we have worked with extensively over the years and with whom we have trusting, productive relationships.
Lastly, we proactively seek to build exceptional relationships and remove all barriers with our clients and partners, thus enabling value to flow both ways in all our relationships.
For example, on behalf of our clients seeking capital, we have brought their deals to PE firms, VC’s, Angels, individual investors, etc. and then helped facilitate those deals. Many times, we subsequently find ourselves delivering ongoing strategic and tactical services to those investors’ portfolio companies or they retain us to help them identify and facilitate additional market investment opportunities.
